My trip didn’t go as planned—my business bestie had to cancel our meetups due to her one-year-old getting sick. This got me thinking about how crucial flexibility is in marketing, especially during launches. If your numbers aren’t trending toward your goal, don’t be afraid to pivot based on data. Maybe you need to increase your ad spend, send more emails, or extend your launch period. The insights you gain from adapting can also inform your next launch, setting you up for future success.
One of the reasons Nashville was a no-brainer for me was its affordability—round-trip flights for $100! This principle applies directly to marketing. Delivering high value doesn’t mean you have to spend big. Some of your best leads might come from low-cost Facebook ad campaigns. It’s all about making smart choices that maximize your impact while keeping costs reasonable.
Even though my original plans fell through, I made the best of it by catching up with an old friend. This reminded me that when your initial strategy doesn’t pan out, it’s an opportunity to pivot and try something new. Lean into data-driven decisions and use those insights to adjust your strategy in real time.
That night out in Nashville—karaoke in Printers Alley and live music on Broadway—was unforgettable. In marketing, sharing personal stories and experiences can be incredibly powerful. Authentic experiences build connection and trust with your audience like nothing else. Don’t be afraid to get personal and share your journey.
In Nashville, I rented a car through Turo that I’ve been thinking about buying. After driving it around for 600 miles, I’m pretty sure it’s the one. The marketing lesson? Before making a big investment, test the waters. Start with a small budget, monitor your metrics, and scale up when your ads are performing well. This minimizes risk and ensures you get the best possible return.
My Airbnb in Nashville was quiet and peaceful—a stark contrast to my usual chaotic life with three young boys. In marketing, it’s important to create space for reflection and creativity. Stepping back allows you to see the bigger picture and come up with innovative solutions you might have missed otherwise.
A simple run at Warner Park turned into a challenging off-trail ascent, testing my limits. In marketing, don’t shy away from challenging projects or strategies. These moments push you to grow and often lead to the most rewarding outcomes.
At a high-end restaurant in Nashville, we didn’t fit the dress code, but we still had an amazing time. In marketing, it’s easy to get caught up in appearances, but what matters most is the quality of the content and experience you provide. Your audience values authenticity and substance more than anything else.

Nashville was full of unexpected moments, but it also provided valuable insights that I’m excited to apply in my business.
